The Jackson High School Varsity team competed in the Wheeling Recreation Shootout, in Wheeling West Virginia, the weekend of 6/14/08 and finished 4-1 before falling to North Canton Hoover in the championship game.  Jackson had great wins over the Zanesville Blue Devils, and the Glen Oak Golden Eagles. There were 32 teams from Ohio, PA and WV competing for the crown.

In addition,  Josh Egner, Mark Henniger and Brad DuPont made the All tournament team.
