2022 - 2023 JYBA Important Dates

Please note the following dates regarding the 2022 - 2023 youth in-house and travel seasons:
Recreation / In-House League:

Evaluations (grades 2nd - 4th, no evaluations for grades 5 and 6)

Location: Jackson High School Aux 1 (enter around the back of the school near the greenhouse)

Parent Notes: In-house tryouts are generally very quick, please drop your son off at the registration table, plan on the evaluation only taking 10-30 minutes depending on how many players are in front of your son

2nd Grade: Monday, 10/24/2022: 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM

3rd Grade: Monday, 10/24/2022: 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM

4th Grade: Monday, 10/24/2022: 7:00 PM - 7:30 PM

5th Grade: No Evaluations

6th Grade: No Evaluations

Practices start week of October 31st
-
Weekly games starting week of November 5th (usually 1 game during the week and 1 game on Saturday)

Season ends on December 17th
Travel Teams:

Travel players must also play in the recreation / in-house league

Manditory travel tryouts (grades 3rd - 6th)

Parent Note: Travel tryouts are not open to parents and will take the entire time slot, please drop your son off at the registration table and plan on returning to pick him up after the tryouts have concluded

3rd Grade: Monday, 10/24/2022: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

4th Grade: Monday, 10/24/2022: 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

5th Grade - Wednesday, 10/26/2022: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

6th Grade - Wednesday, 10/26/2022: 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Practices start right after teams are made and will be 1 per week while in-house league is going on, generally 2 practices each week after in-house season ends

League games to be played in the Babe Stearn league in Canton, most games on Sundays

Each team generally plays in 4-6 tournaments each year after the Babe Stearn league ends
-
Most tournaments are local and held around NE Ohio.
-
Some teams may choose to do an overnight tournament (usually in Columbus)
-
Season ends in early March
